Tally is a time tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch: your day is a 24-hour dial of 15-minute blocks — tap when you switch tasks, and Tally keeps logging until you tell it otherwise. Everything you record in Tally stays on your devices — there is no account, no server, no analytics, and nothing is ever collected or transmitted to us or to anyone else.
All of it lives in a local database on your iPhone. There is no sign-up, no login, and we could not read your data even if we wanted to — it never leaves your device.
If you grant the optional Motion permission, Tally uses Apple's on-device motion activity to notice when you're driving and log that time automatically. This processing happens entirely on your iPhone. Motion data is never stored beyond the resulting time blocks and is never transmitted anywhere. You can decline or revoke the permission in Settings at any time; everything else in Tally works without it.
The Tally watch app talks directly to your iPhone using Apple's device-to-device connection (the same private channel your other watch apps use). No third party — and no server — is involved.
You can export your history as a PDF. That file is created on your device and goes only where you choose to send it.
Nothing. No ads, no analytics SDKs, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, no location, no contacts. The app makes no network requests.
Delete the app and all of its data is gone — it existed only on your device (and in your own encrypted iPhone backups, which you control).
If a future version of Tally ever adds an online feature (for example, optional sync), this policy will be updated first and the change will be clearly described in the App Store release notes.
